Investment Strategy : Guiding Principles

Principles | Sectors
As part of the mission of Infinity Energy we have the objective
of investing in sustainable energy solutions in Asia whilst maintaining
internally and promoting externally best practices for corporate
governance and corporate social responsibility.
In order to achieve
this goal we have committed ourselves to following a set of voluntary
best practice standards covering environmental, social and governance
issues. These were established and launched in 2006 as a joint
initiative between the UNEP finance initiative and the UN Global
Compact. As a signatory we submit to the following:
"As institutional investors, we have a duty to act in
the best long-term interests of our beneficiaries. In this fiduciary
role, we believe that environmental, social, and corporate governance
(ESG) issues can affect the performance of investment portfolios
(to varying degrees across companies, sectors, regions, asset classes
and through time). We also recognise that applying these principles
may better align investors with broader objectives of society.
Therefore, where consistent with our fiduciary responsibilities,
we commit to the following the Principles for Responsible Investment
as established by the UNEPFI and UN Global Compact. "
The full list of Principles can be read at the following link – http://www.unpri.org/principles/
IE will integrate the principles into our operating processes
by the following actions:
- Assigning dedicated personnel
to ensure that all ESG issues are managed correctly with regular
reporting directly to the CEO.
- Integrating ESG issues into
the evaluation and due diligence processes for potential investee
companies and projects.
- Through board representation
at investee company level, ESG practices and standards will be
monitored and improvement notification will be given where necessary.
- Incorporating
ESG issues in annual reports which will be made available via
our website.
- Participation in multi-stakeholder initiatives
to discuss and promote ESG issues.
